Methodology & Professional-Use Disclaimer
1. Input and processing model
SEQNCS currently analyses Primavera P6 XER schedule exports. The application parses and normalises schedule data in the browser. Schedule-analysis content is not uploaded to SEQNCS servers in the normal workflow.
2. Schedule Check
Schedule Check applies a DCMA-style 14-point schedule-health assessment to the data available in the XER and reports supporting offender evidence. It is a software implementation of commonly used schedule-quality checks, not an official certification or endorsement by the U.S. Defense Contract Management Agency or any government body.
Where a test requires data that are absent, unreliable or not represented in the source export, SEQNCS should report the result as unavailable / not applicable rather than inventing data. Thresholds, assumptions and calculation notes included in generated reports form part of the methodology.
3. Schedule Explorer — VIEW
VIEW presents the normalised schedule graphically using WBS/activity-code grouping, dates, durations, relationships and available schedule metadata. Visual grouping or filtering does not change the underlying schedule file.
4. Schedule Explorer — COMPARE
COMPARE evaluates two schedule revisions and identifies changes such as added/removed activities, milestone movement and relationship changes. Results depend on stable activity identifiers and the completeness of both revisions. Renaming or re-identifying activities may affect matching.
5. Schedule Reporting
Reporting transforms available schedule information into management-oriented PDF, Excel and PowerPoint outputs. Narrative and visual summaries are intended to explain evidence already present in the schedule analysis. Data-dependent charts or metrics should not be estimated when the source data are insufficient.
6. Critical paths, near-critical paths and completion drivers
Critical-path and completion-driver views depend on the schedule's dates, logic, calendars, constraints, float values and other source data. They are analytical representations, not contractual determinations of delay, entitlement, causation or responsibility. Multiple paths may influence completion, and source-schedule configuration can materially change the result.
7. Lookahead
Lookahead creates an execution-focused planning view from the loaded schedule. Where explicit phase/classification metadata are unavailable, SEQNCS may infer construction relevance from WBS, activity codes and activity descriptions. Inference can be wrong and is intentionally editable. Manual activities, manpower values, executor information and overrides are user-entered operational planning data and should be validated by the project team.
8. Data quality and N/A logic
SEQNCS does not manufacture missing schedule information. If a calculation cannot be supported by the source XER, the relevant section should be identified as unavailable, incomplete or N/A. Users should investigate the source schedule rather than interpreting absence of evidence as evidence of good schedule quality.
9. Exports
Generated PDF, Excel and PowerPoint files are snapshots of the selected data, configuration, filters and branding at export time. Editable outputs can be changed after generation; SEQNCS cannot validate modifications made outside the application.
10. No project-outcome guarantee
SEQNCS does not predict or guarantee actual project completion, cost, productivity, delay entitlement, claims outcome or contractual compliance. Forecast dates are schedule-derived analytical outputs and remain dependent on the assumptions and status of the source schedule.
11. Independent product
SEQNCS is an independent project-controls product. References to Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, DCMA or other third-party methods/products are descriptive. Relevant names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
